When starting a career, a person will usually be faced with several choices, namely continuing or moving to another field that feels more promising. Swerving in the career world is not something that is prohibited. Several people have done it, Asyiqarizqi (27) is one of them.
In 2017, after graduating from one of the state universities in Malang, Asyiqa started her career as a technical facilitator for the Infrastructure Engineering Village Assistant (PDTI) from the Ministry of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration (KDPDTT). On a daily basis, he facilitates the development, management and maintenance of facilities and infrastructure in 17 villages in East Java.
In the midst of her busy life, Asyiqa met a planning design consultant. This meeting actually brought about big changes in the journey of the woman who loved drawing. First, he began to have the courage to add a side job by opening a freelance architectural service.
Then, entering 2020, Asyiqa decided to resign from her job as a PDTI technical facilitator. Armed with freelance architectural experience and an appropriate educational background, together with two colleagues, he then opened an architectural design service called Rafter Archstudio. According to Asyiqa, by opening her own business, she has pocketed time flexibility and freedom from various regulations.
Asyiqa's Rafter Archstudio provides building, residential, interior, landscape, master planning and urban design services. To date, the studio has received several design services, such as for residences, mosques, cafes and parks. Asyiqa hopes that in the future Rafter Archstudio will not only provide design services, but also include construction services. Therefore, he continues to look for scholarship opportunities to perfect his knowledge.
This effort then bore sweet fruit. Asyiqa managed to get a full scholarship from her old campus to study Masters in Construction Management in Malaysia. Armed with these studies, Asyiqa admitted that she was more ready to expand her architectural studio.
